Service Provided: Comprehensive Diversity Programming Track

Trek Long Island is an annual convention held outside New York City, focused on providing attendees with experiential opportunities with their favorite Star Trek actors and production staff. Despite being a new, this 1200-person convention has established itself within the Star Trek fandom for its positive impact for the local community and the Star Trek Family. Paul created and led the Diversity Track for the 2025 Convention, which provided a welcoming and inclusive environment for the queer community. The comprehensive track featured a diversified set of panels, events, and guests, including diversity specialists from Paul’s broad network of community members, drag professionals, diversity champions, and representative actors from the community. Through 14 sessions and over 15 diversity champions, attendees were empowered to share their voices and be their authentic selves. The program culminated in an exclusive dance party that encouraged community engagement and celebration.

Library for the Kind 2025 Charity Auction Fundraiser

Service Provided: Organized Event

Annually, during Trek Long Island, a charity is selected to be the beneficiary of the auction. For 2025, the charity selected was the Library for the Kind, a local Long Island, NY-based 501(c) organization focused on both adult and children's literacy. As the event organizer, Paul worked with the Showrunner to identify program enhancements, including a new auctioneer, enhanced marketing, and more exclusive auction items, such as unique experiences and memorabilia. These improvements led to a two-fold increase in funds raised for the charity. Additionally, the introduction of a drag professional as an auctioneer added an entertaining element to the auction, engaging attendees and boosting the event's overall energy.

Buddies Spa DC 2025 World Pride Float and Party

As a collaborating partner, working with Buddies Spa as the lead sponsor, Paul led the logistical planning with owner Kris Otto, in conjunction with the teams from NoCover DC, Tight Tams, and the non-profit Library for the Kind and Trek Long Island. The multi-event partnership required simultaneous planning for a World Pride Party held on Thursday, followed by participation in the Capital Pride/World Pride parade on Saturday. Both events required synchronized planning for staffing, equipment support, and schedule and workflow management.
